I’ve been looking quite some time for a ring to replace the antique pearl my mother gave me when I was 15. Certain rings, to me, are more than decorative. I like to think they’re containers. Containers for energy, for memories, for fears. Just like programming a gemstone or mineral, I tend to assign a certain thought pattern or affirmation to the ring I wear daily. Touching it or spinning it throughout the day triggers a certain response. My pearl carried me through my teens and into my late twenties, signifying a certain anxiety of growing up along with the wonder of not knowing. This Odette NY ring, I hope, will come to capture my thirties. It’s the perfect daily accessory. Cast in bronze from eucalyptus pods, this ring is inspired by forest walks, by wandering and discovery.
