This box of tools belonged to Pete Peterson. I was just a young girl then, and he was in his late 90's. He lived in a small upstairs apartment downtown. He used to walk to my mom's art studio and bronze foundry, helping her out with light work - he called her the most dedicated artist he knows. As a young man, he worked in New York for Tiffany & Co. as a glass artist and was involved in the design of several Kentucky Derby trophies.
I remember roller skating around the old neighborhood, speeding up to greet him as he walked along the sidewalk. He was a gentle, kind man. He giftet this box to my mom in 1990 in Panama City, FL.
